Are you thinking about a Caribbean wedding? The Bahamas, Jamaica and Puerto Rico are the top three Caribbean islands that are easy to get to and easy to enter for non-US citizens. It is necessary for non-US citizens to provide a valid passport to enter the Bahamas. The passport must be current up to the travel period. Some countries are also required to have a Bahamas visa.
Caribbean Wedding Options
To enter into Jamaica, it is required for all US and non-US citizens to be in possession of a national passport or other satisfactory travel document instituting nationality and identity, that includes a clear photo. The passport or other travel documents must be valid for the duration of stay in the island. Visitors are also required to show proof of sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay. They also need to be in possession of a return or round-trip ticket to another country to which they are accepted.
The entry requirements for Puerto Rico are the same to enter the United States for non-US citizens. All visitors from another country who are planning to visit the United States must have a passport valid for at least six months longer than their intended stay in the U.S.
Mexico Weddings
Technically Mexico is on the Caribbean but it is usually treated as it’s own entity in the travel world. Its two coast boast more resorts than probably all of the Caribbean islands put together. Getting in and out of Mexico is generally pretty easy, but you still need a passport. According to Visas Department of the Consulate General of México, “Effective March 1st, 2010, all visitors traveling to Mexico either by air, land or sea are required to present a valid (non-expired) Passport or Travel Document from their country to enter Mexico.
Effective May 2016, all those foreign nationals, regardless of their nationality, visiting Mexico for tourism, business or transit are NOT required to obtain a Mexican visa IF they hold a valid (non-expired) Visa or Permanent Residence of any of these countries: United States of America, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom or Schengen area (European Union).”
There are many non-stop flights in and out of Mexico to Europe. But there are no direct flights out of India to Mexico. There are many non-stop flights in and out of Puerto Rico to Europe and India from multiple cities.
