Giverny is a lovely little town where you can visit the home of the greatest Impressionist, Claude Monet. It is also the home of the Giverny Museum of Impressionism.
Rouen is a wonderful picturesque little town on the Seine with an old historic center, an ancient clock and a magnificent Gothic cathedral. It is home to the Joan of Arc museum .
The town of Le Havre is a very special destination. In the 1950’s, the old town, destroyed in the war, was rebuilt by architect Auguste Perret. It is a UNESCO world heritage site.
The White Cliffs of Etretat are the most famous cliffs in France. La Suisse Normande are the highest hills in Normandy. They are around 1000 ft, If you are a hiker, this is for you.
Normandy is also famous for gentle farmland and race horses. If you walk through the towns and villages you will come across local specialties like Camembert cheese and Calvados, a wonderful apple brandy. You may also want to taste what an omelet is supposed to be like.
