A DAY TRIP TO SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI: AMERICA’S GATEWAY TO THE WEST!

Then I suggest taking a 630-foot ride to the top of this world-famous stainless steel monument for the finest view in the Gateway City! We call it the Arch locally, and you will find it to be a fascinating monument dedicated to the beautiful lands of the American West.
And let us not forget about our sport fans! Just because we hosted one of the first modern Olympics does not mean we have not advanced in sports. Here in St Louis, during the spring and summer seasons, you can cheer on our 11-time World champions the St Louis Cardinals at the new Busch Stadium! We have plenty of seats available and at low costs to (and for great seats as well)! The St Louis Cardinals are one of the best baseball teams in American history.

Is it thrills that you seek? Then come on over to Six Flags! Visit this exciting Midwest theme park that’s fun for the whole family! Riders can loop the loop on Batman the Ride, soar at speeds over 60 mph on the Screaming Eagle wooden coaster. If the weather is hot – as is the case during the summer – we can cool you down and get you soaked on the whitewater rapids adventure of Thunder River!
Perhaps you prefer a more calm and educational afternoon walk. If this is the case, get up close and personal with the furry, the flying and the fishy creatures of the Saint Louis Zoo. One of the city’s many free attractions, the Saint Louis Zoo has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading zoological parks.
There are many fascinating and entertaining sights and places for you to visit in our city! So get on out to America’s first frontier and walk the downtown at night to see our theatres, restaurants and attractions, or bring the family over for a game or educational zoo trip. There is something for everybody here in St. Louis, Missouri. After all, you have to have something for everybody in a metropolitan of over 2.8 million people!
