Paul Gauguin cruises is owned by Pacific Beachcomber which is famous for its hotels in French Polynesia. Paul Gauguin Cruises was established when it took over the management of the cruise ship. The ship was previously owned by the Regent Seven Seas Cruises from its unveiling to 2009.

It has undergone more than $31 million in enhancements since it was taken over by Paul Gauguin Cruises. The ship can accommodate 332 passengers. It has an experienced staff of 217 people to take care of the passengers.

Five Star Service

It also offers spacious suites and staterooms coupled with five star services. There is also water sports marina, three dining venues with open seating and a spa which offers various treatments as well as private massages. The Cruisers Choice Award in the category of best dining on a small ship for the year 2011 was awarded to the ship. The ambiance of the ship is very laid back.

The ship spends the majority of its time sailing the South Pacific. The South Pacific Sea is very shallow and the m/s Paul is specially designed for these waters and can travel as fast as 18 knots. The ship is 504 feet long and small enough that it can pull into many ports that are inaccessible to other larger ships. With a capacity of 332 guests, the ship touts a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.5, so you can expect to have individualized attention while on the ship.

There are three dining rooms, a watersports area onboard, fitness center, casino, and a pampering spa. All the rooms have an ocean view and 70% come with balconies. Your suite comes with butler service, an iPod music system, and a mini-bar. Enjoy 5-star services 24-hours a day. During regular meal hours, you can order from the L’Etoile restaurant which has a menu created by a 2-star Michelin chef.
