Orient Beach is a popular destination. Just be advised it is clothing optional so don’t be surprised. Take the kids to the butterfly farm instead if you aren’t used to lots of naked people on your beach.
If you want to go exploring, just rent a car and go. You probably won’t even need a map. It’s pretty hard to get lost. Spend half your day on St Maarten on a snorkeling adventure, enjoying the warm tropical waters and when the sun goes down take a chance at the casinos. This destination truly is paradise.
