The Viking Mississippi
The Viking Mississippi borrows from traditional paddlewheeler design and brings it into the 21st century with distinctive Scandinavian styling. The boat transports 386 guests in 193 all outside staterooms in a luxury that hasn’t been in the U.S. market before. The new state-of-the-art Viking Mississippi is inspired by the award-winning Viking Longships® and ocean ships. Public spaces that are familiar to guests have been reimagined for Mississippi River voyages. The Viking Mississippi was purpose-built for the Mississippi. The ship’s expansive windows and comfortable amenities will bring a touch of European luxury to the Mississippi.
For those of you who love the Mississippi as a destination, the itineraries will be similar to other boats on the river. There will be the traditional round trip to and from New Orleans. One way alternating itineraries from New Orleans to Memphis or the opposite. The upper Mississippi from St Louis to St Paul, and 15 day cruises from St. Paul to New Orleans.

The Viking Mississippi has a sun terrace with an Infinity Plunge Pool. The Promenade deck offers 360 views to take in all the Mississippi has to offer. Enjoy the many eagles or other wildlife along her banks. For those of you who need to stay connected, there is free WiFi and 42 inch flat screens throughout. If you want to stay in and watch a movie, they are available on demand. Elevators throughout the ship make getting around extra easy.
